70th Birthday of Cor Unum
Cor Unum’s curator Lotte Landsheer was looking for a way to celebrate seventy years of the ceramics studio’s history, taking the dinner plate as a starting point and asking everyone with whom it has collaborated to create a design. With the word ‘together’ in my mind I visualized my love for the digital (computational aesthetics) and planets. A kind of digital planet, in an infinity of variants.
Axle for Eikelenboom
Commissioned by lighting label Eikelenboom I designed the Axle lamp series. Axle is the result of a study of light refraction and layering. The proportions of the layers of glass lead to a distinctive, tough but at the same time accessible shape. Mouth blown glass in a variety of shapes and colors.
Overgrown with Mark Sturkenboom
Alex de Witte teamed up with designer Mark Sturkenboom and created the Overgrown Bubbles.
The Big Bubble lights are overgrown by Sturkenboom with natural crystal for which he developed a liquid that allows objects to grow crystals in a short period of time. Edition: Unique pieces, made to order. Feel free to contact us about prices and options.
